Lunchpail Books specializes in children’s books that are both fun and easy to read. We feel strongly that reading is one of the most critical skills for future success. So let us make reading fun. Our books are carefully crafted for the early reader (ages 4-7). The vocabulary is carefully controlled and the story designed with a fun rhythm and rhyme. Additionally, each page uses an anticipatory approach, where kids will want to read to discover what will happen next.
Our approach is that reading should be fun… Take for an example our “Peep Peep” series. In each book Peep Peep the little duckling faces a new adventure such as being chased by an alligator, riding a turtle, facing a snake. In each episode Peep Peep approaches each new challenges with a child-like innocence.
Lunchpail Books are designed especially for the beginner reader—kids books, kids will want to read.
Our first book to be offered in other languages is Peep Peep Finds a Friend – in this adventure our favorite duckling makes a new friend named Gua Gua . Gua Gua is also a young duckling, but doesn’t look anything like Peep Peep. In spite of their differences they become fast friends and experience an adventure all their own. Lunchpail Books are carefully crafted to encourage successful independent reading with a comforting message of love and acceptance.
What inspired the author to write this book... “The child in all of us notices the superficial differences in everything around us; but from the standpoint of innocence-- diversity is neither good nor bad—we are just different. Peep Peep’s new friend Gua Gua captures that diversity that draws us together, not apart. Aren’t we more alike than we originally thought?”

Nuestro primer libro en español es "Pío Pío Encuentra un Amigo". En esta aventura nuestro patito favorito encuentra un nuevo amigo llamado Cua Cua. Cua Cua es también un joven patito, pero no se parece nada a Pío Pío. A pesar de sus diferencias se vuelven rápidamente amigos y juntos vivirán muchas aventuras. Los Libros Lunchpail están cuidadosamente elaborados para animar a los niños a convertirse en buenos lectores independientes con un reconfortante mensaje de amor y aceptación.
¿Qué inspiró al autor para escribir este libro? "El niño que hay dentro de todos nosotros capta las diferencias más superficiales en todo lo que hay a nuestro alrededor, pero desde el punto de vista de la inocencia. La diversidad en sí, no es buena ni mala, todos somos diferentes. Cua Cua, el nuevo amigo de Pío Pío, refleja esa diversidad que nos impulsa a estar juntos, no separados. ¿No somos a fin de cuentas siempre más parecidos de lo que originalmente pensábamos?
